Program Description:

At certificate level the focus is on developing the skills required in order to effectively deliver existing person centered care training materials and students will learn to use feedback and reflection as a means of developing the training they deliver and their own skills as a trainer. At the diploma level students will engage with the full process of devising and delivering training from assessing training needs and costing training to researching and developing appropriate training materials and programmes of study. They will also engage with approaches to assessing the efficacy of training in terms of bringing about sustainable change in practice. At Masters level students will develop a proposal for a research project related to an area of training in dementia care. For: Established practitioners and professionals; managers and supervisors; older persons' champions and leads; consultants and trainers; dementia care change agents; quality managers in health and social care. Mode of delivery: Fully supported distance learning using study packs and computer-based learning. As part of the Postgraduate Certificate attendance at the University of Bradford will be required for a period of 2 consecutive days during semester 2.
