We offer two pathways: Hospital and Community.
Having recently undergone a major review to ensure we continue to meet the changing demands of a career in hospital, the new MSc Clinical Pharmacy (Hospital) allows you to complete the General Level Framework and develop the skills you need to progress through the Agenda for Change bandings.
With a firm focus on preparation for lifelong learning and critical thinking, this course helps you to improve and apply your knowledge of clinical pharmacy, working in the NHS and research skills, as well as ensuring you meet your CPD requirements. There is also the opportunity to choose an optional module in the second year to develop your knowledge in an area you are particularly interested in.
The course is relevant to Hospital Pharmacists and Newly Qualified Pharmacists.
Our revised and flexible distance-learning MSc in Clinical Pharmacy (Community) supports government initiatives for community pharmacy. It will provide you with the skills and confidence to fully develop your potential by providing support for personal development planning as well as now offering the option of a management module. The course content is then consolidated by a new module on Commissioning and Negotiating.
For students who do not wish to register for a Diploma but have an interest in studying a particular topic, individual modules may be accessed by registering as an Associate Student. If you require further details about this option, please contact the Course Secretary.
