This programme offers an exciting opportunity to study malnutrition, both under- and over-nutrition, with a focus on the clinical implications. It provides an insight into recent advances in nutrition relevant to both acute and chronic illnesses; the key questions being discussed are "what effect does disease have on nutritional status?" and "how does nutrient intervention alter disease outcome?"
This was the first MSc in Clinical Nutrition to be started in the UK (in 1995) and it has since gained an international reputation, attracting students from across the globe. The programme is taught by a combination of research-active lecturers, practising clinicians and external collaborators eminent in their field, together providing a wide range of clinical, nutritional and dietary research expertise.
