The Division of Radiography is committed to meeting the needs of the health service and clinicians for high quality, clinically relevant, post registration education for radiographers and other health professionals within a dynamic and evolving healthcare environment. The part-time PgC in Nuclear Medicine programme provides a vocational pathway of study relevant to contemporary Nuclear Medicine practice. It is designed to support healthcare professionals develop the knowledge, understanding and clinical skills in Nuclear Medicine that are required for a professional who aspires to work at an advanced level of practice. This programme would be of particular interest to healthcare professionals working within Nuclear Medicine and who would like a greater understanding of the role and application of Nuclear Medicine in the diagnosis and assessment of pathological conditions.
The programme is delivered by the Division of Radiography academic team in partnership with clinical and scientific experts working within specialised areas of Nuclear Medicine to ensure the curriculum remains appropriately diverse and clinically relevant. This PgC in Nuclear Medicine is a modular programme encompassing both the theoretical knowledge and clinical application of Nuclear Medicine. Upon successful completion of the Postgraduate Certificate pathway, students can continue their studies by registering for additional modules from the Medical Imaging module portfolio, to obtain a postgraduate Diploma or Masters degree.
