Leadership and Change Management in Person-Centered Dementia Care
In anticipation of the publication of the National Demetia Strategy, this Postgraduate Certificate is a key professional qualification for practitioners, leaders and managers charged with promoting and pioneering practice and service improvements for people living with dementia. The course offers personal, professional and organistational enhancement consistent with contemporary policy which is driving improvements in dementia service development. The core aim of this course is to enable you to improve dementia care through extending and enhancing your capacity to manage change and provide leadership in person-centered dementia care; develop and evaluate your leadership and management skillsl and engage users, carers and other stakeholders in developing and evaluating services. The course consists of three modules: The experience of dementia (20 credits) Practice development and organisational change (20 credits) Leadership and management practice (20 credits) The modules are delivered by open and distance learning, in which you will combine attendance at four study days with guided study using print-based and online (internet based) distance learning materials.
