M.A.-Media and Journalism
You take four compulsory modules (80 credits): media analysis; methodologies - researching media, culture and society; media and law; and writing for the media. You also choose two optional modules (40 credits) from a selection which includes: news and journalism - critical studies; professional sub-editing; globalisation and national culture; television studies; broadcasting and audience studies; visual culture; public affairs and responsibility; advertising and consumption; communication, emotion and psychoanalysis; science communication; social psychology of communication; sex, sexuality and desire.
The dissertation (60 credits) enables you to undertake independent research into a theme or issue relating to journalism.
