Human Resource Management
This programme provides a rich body of knowledge and skills, grounded in the latest research, and equips future and practising managers to take a more integrated approach to the management of human resources.
The MA develops understanding of the key role that an integrated approach to human resource management (HRM) plays in successful business, and provides the knowledge and analytical skills necessary for a career in HRM. The programme has unconditional accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and includes teaching required for graduate membership of CIPD.
You take compulsory modules (140 credits) in: human resource management; managing for results; studies in leadership and management; managing information in a strategic business context; employee relations; managing human resources for competitive advantage; human resource management in practice; strategic human resource management; human resource development; research methods. You also complete a dissertation (40 credits).
