School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape
European Spatial Planning
School of Psychology
Newcastle Upon Tyne, England
The programme aims to provide current postgraduate research students with a unique programme of intensive study in European planning theory and practice.
The programme includes three spatial planning modules (60 credits), training in research methodology and a postgraduate research seminar. Each module is assessed by an individual essay of 3,000 words. The course work and research covered by this Postgraduate Certificate can be fully validated within PhD study. First-year PhD planning students at the University are warmly recommended to follow the Postgraduate Certificate as part of their postgraduate training programme. This will fulfil part of the requirement for research training. No additional tuition fee will be charged. Seminar sessions in the European module replace part of the postgraduate evaluation panel presentations.
