Architecture and Planning Studies
This programme provides a grounding in architecture and planning studies without professional accreditation.This is a flexible programme, which is not professionally accredited. It provides an especially useful grounding for students considering a PhD in architecture, planning and landscape, or those who wish to add a range of planning skills to an existing professional qualification in another discipline.The programme combines taught and research elements, and offers a particularly wide range of choices for specialisation, drawing on the wide variety of postgraduate modules available within Architecture, Planning and Landscape. The first two semesters comprise taught modules to a total value of 120 credits. Only one module, research methods (10 credits), is compulsory. Throughout the year you also work towards the preparation of a dissertation of around 15,000 words (60 credits) on an approved research topic of your choice.
