M.Sc.- Analytical Chemistry and Instrumentation
This program provides a comprehensive training in analytical chemistry and its implementation in the industrial laboratory. It offers a conversion route for graduates with no previous experience of analytical chemistry, but also provides advanced study for those with some training at undergraduate level. The Department has a range of modern analytical instruments for use in teaching and in research projects. Close links with industry are maintained through visiting lecturers, industrial visits and sponsored projects. Award of the MSc degree in part fulfills the requirements for obtaining Membership and Chartered Chemist status of the Royal Society of Chemistry and also provides exemption from Part A (Analytical Chemistry Section) of the Society’s MChemA examination.
