Program Description:

We will consider applicants with good first degrees in any discipline and a commitment to the field covered by the MA/MSc. This MA/MSc is a good preparation for a research degree and also provides excellent training in the field for related careers in government, the media, teaching, library and museum posts, politics, law and international business and for advanced academic research. Courses include: Crisis Decision Making in War and Peace 1914-1991; Political Islam from Mohamed Abduh to Osama Bin Laden; The European Enlightenment c1680-1830; A Persecution in Europe: from witch-hunts to ethnic cleansing; Origins and Conduct of the Second World War, 1935-1945; Rise and Fall of Communism in Europe, 1917-1990; East Asia in the Age of Imperialism, 1839-1945; many others. Dissertation also an option.
