This MSc will help address this challenge by providing world-class specialised training to mental health professionals and non-clinical academics interested in this area. A multidisciplinary approach will be used, capitalising on the most recent findings from a range of clinical and non-clinical disciplines including psychiatry, psychology, genetics, neuroscience, epidemiology and biostatistics.
On completion of the taught modules, students will be able to integrate knowledge from different disciplines and relate it to the behaviours and symptoms that present in affective disorders. We will provide training in the key scientific and methodological aspects of Affective Disorders, their care and related research. Transferable skills will be acquired through a variety of tutorials and exercises.
