M.Sc.- Applied Plant Science
This MSc builds on our expertise in an area of rapidly increasing importance for advances in crop plants for human food and well-being. The full-time, one-year course is run at the Department’s campus at Wye, Kent. It leads to the MSc degree of the University of London and to the Diploma of the Imperial College (DIC). Particular emphasis is placed on practical aspects of both molecular biology and plant tissue culture. A high proportion of many of the component courses is devoted to the teaching of practical skills. The taught courses are followed by a four-month project in a research laboratory.
