Program Description:

This programme will cover the study of cultural representations of conflict throughout Twentieth-century Europe. The theme of conflict is understood in its broadest sense including warfare (civil and international), gender conflict, conflicting memories and identities, ideological conflict, and terrorism. The cultures explored are those of the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, and Spain. You can choose to develop your knowledge and interest of one particular culture or one particular aspect of the field whilst also exploring new disciplines.
