Program Description:

The M.A. in Hispanic Literature concentrates in the study of literature by focusing in the analysis of representative texts from the Spanish and Spanish American literary traditions and the discussion of the critical literature on them. Literary texts are always studied in relation to their cultural context. The M.A. in Hispanic Language and Cultures emphasizes advanced language training (including translation), language pedagogy and the culture of the Hispanic world. Students also receive training in literary interpretation.
