Program Description:

IMARES is a postgraduate program that focuses on Russia and the post-Soviet area.  You will examine the past and analyze the most up-to-date events unfolding in Eurasia. You will study the new Russia, its changing society, its political and economic development.  Together with other international students you will learn and discuss a variety of topics, including all Russian revolutions in the 20th century, Islam in Russia, democracy in Kyrgyzstan, reforms in Georgia, nation-building in Ukraine, foreign policy dilemmas in Armenia, economics in Belarus, border control in Tajikistan, security issues in Azerbaijan and other topics. IMARES is an excellent foundation for a career in business, public service or academia that requires a broad area expertise.
