Social science at Lincoln has a distinctive flavour. Our social science programmes are strongly interdisciplinary, and at postgraduate level most students are likely to be involved in studies with students from other programmes, helping to broaden their perspective. The social sciences contribute to our knowledge of social and cultural structures and processes, and they contribute to a better understanding of the interface between natural resources, urban affairs, technology and society. While postgraduate teaching in social science reflects current international scholarly developments, the programmes are clearly located in the contemporary New Zealand context.
