Program Description:

In 1971, Shimane University had founded a Graduate School of Agriculture consisting of the following six courses: Agriculture, Forestry, Agricultural and Forest Economics, Agricultural Chemistry, Agricultural Engineering and Environmental Sciences. Upon the reorganization of the Faculty of Agriculture from six Departments to three Departments, the Graduate School of Agriculture was reorganized into three courses of Agro-Forest Biology, Regional Development, and Bioresource Science in 1993. These graduate courses have the same academic calendars and systems as their counterpart undergraduate departments.
