Program Description:

Content and Idea Practical orientation and academic excellence complement each other in the management & human resources degree program. Human resource questions are examined from an interdisciplinary perspective by incorporating business administration, psychology and law. Students learn to look at the complete picture of human resource concerns by including ethics, diversity and intercultural concerns as well. Essential qualifications (such as systematic consulting skills, conversation and negotiating techniques) are integrated into students' training. Because human resource managers increasingly operate internationally, the program emphasizes the international and intercultural aspects of human resource responsibilities. The program treats human resource management as a central task of corporate governance and a key factor in the success of any business. Course Structure In the first semester students acquire a basic understanding of labor law, organizational and intercultural business psychology and the central functions of human resource management. In the second semester, students are required to participate in the module "Strategic personnel management and partnering with business." Further modules are available for students to specialize their professional interests. Subjects include, among others, international personnel management, change management as a human resource task, legal principles in human resources, performance management, organizational and personal development as well as value-oriented personnel management.
