Content and Idea
The cultural sciences concentrate on problems which are so complex or fundamental, that they cannot be adequately comprehended from a single perspective. They focus on cultural artifacts, practical norms, institutions and media, as well as areas of cultural production. Cultural sciences are concerned both with high culture and with art, as well as with popular, everyday culture. Through social analysis and historical explanations the importance of cultural factors, including symbolic power and domination, are given particular consideration. The Master's degree program complements and deepens your previous studies in cultural sciences with a special accent on either art and visual culture or media and communication.
The interdisciplinary course structure is composed of various fields:

They offer students the opportunity to broaden their academic horizons: for example, by gaining insight into history and literat
