Canada's largest program and one of the most diverse with seven areas of study including the country's only History & Theory of Psychology program; as well as opportunities for research and professional training.
Program focus is to prepare graduates to contribute to solutions of both theoretical and applied problems.
The 77 professors include several who are cross-appointed to other graduate programs such as Biology, Kinesiology & Health Science, Philosophy and Women's Studies.
Sixty-one applied practicum supervisors are affiliated with the program along with 39 adjunct professors.
The program is associated with many research units at York, including: Institute for Social Research; LaMarsh Centre for Research on Violence & Conflict Resolution; Centre for Vision Research; Centre for Research in Earth & Space Science; and the Centre for Feminist Research.
