Program Description:

The Master’s degree in Statistics may be earned in one of three ways: Thesis route (thesis and a minimum of 15 credit hours of approved coursework with at least 9 credit hours at the 7000 level) Practicum route (practicum plus a minimum of 15 credit hours of approved coursework with at least 9 credit hours at the 7000 level) Coursework route (a minimum of 24 credit hours of approved coursework with at least 18 credit hours at the 7000 level) The balance of coursework must be at the 4000 level or above. Students are also expected to take part in laboratory instruction. Ph.D. candidates are required to: Successfully complete at least twelve credit hours at the 7000 level Pass the Ph.D. qualifying examination (within eighteen months of first registration) Pass a candidacy examination (normally administered twelve months prior to the completion of all degree requirements)
