The Department, officially established in 1946, is today the largest academic unit in the university with more than 35 professors and over 120 graduate students. We boast approximately 37,000 square feet of space for offices, laboratories, and classrooms. Basic research facilities are housed in over 100 dedicated research rooms. We host a large computer lab maintained by a crew of three excellent computer technicians; integrated animal care facilities under the supervision of a dedicated animal care technician; and a field station at which avian behaviour may be studied.
The Psychological Services Centre has an additional 6,000 square feet of on-campus space for offices, delivery of client services, and clinical training purposes. These resources are augmented by collaborative relationships with other university departments, local hospitals and community organizations, and the St. Amant Research Centre. As a graduate student, your research opportunities will be limited only by your imagination.
