Program Description:

The Department of Computer Science offers a range of programs, including two Master's options (thesis and coursework) and a Ph.D program. The M.Sc. thesis-based program consists of a combination of coursework and a research component. In the coursework M.Sc. program, students are required to take a minimum of 24 credit hours of coursework, with 18 credit hours at the 7000 level (the remaining 6 credit hours may be at either the 7000 level or the 4000 level). The Ph.D. option is designed to be a 3-5 year program consisting of coursework and a substantial research component. By pursuing a graduate degree, students can deepen their knowledge of computer science beyond the skills and techniques acquired through an undergraduate degree, and explore more specialized and advanced topics.
