Program Description:
The Department of Anthropology offers graduate programs at both the M.A. and Ph.D. levels in sociocultural anthropology, biological anthropology and archaeology.
Maintaining a strong focus on research training, attempts are made to tailor programs to the interests and strengths of individual students in close cooperation with faculty advisors. Abundant research opportunities within the Province of Manitoba are supported by the presence of a wide variety of ethnic groups and a rich record of ancient human settlement.
The Department of Anthropology’s vision focuses on innovation, excellence and renewal in all of its major sub-fields. Graduates have been highly successful in a variety of fields, taking positions in:
