Our Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP): School and Youth Concentration program prepares students with comprehensive knowledge, skills, and real-world experience for successfully providing therapeutic services for children, adolescents, and their families. Students gain a strong foundation in counselling theories and methods and are trained to be self-reflexive, ethically aware clinicians.
Our practitioner-focused program empowers students with clinical coursework that reflects contemporary challenges faced by counsellors of children and adolescents. We offer an immersive learning experience that
brings together real-world training with a focus on socially responsible practice—all led by experts in the field. Through strong faculty support, professional networks, and the University’s extensive partnerships with
community agencies, our students gain valuable practicum and clinical experience in a wide variety of settings.
Students learn through a rigorous curriculum that, while focused on serving diverse populations, emphasizes the care of children and adolescents through research-based counselling theories and techniques.
