MA - Eighteenth-Century Studies
The School of English has a strong international reputation and global perspective, apparent both in the background of its staff and in the diversity of our teaching and research interests.
This taught MA in 18th-Century Studies will offer an intellectually dynamic introduction to one of the most exciting eras in literary history. Grounded in and administered from the Centre for Studies in the Long 18th Century launched in 2007, this is an interdisciplinary MA programme that builds upon the expertise and common research interests of 18th-century researchers and teachers across the Faculty of Humanities. The Centre provides an excellent research context for the MA programme and any further postgraduate work that will arise from it. The Centre regularly hosts visiting speakers as part of the School of English research seminar programme, and hosts day symposia, workshops and international conferences.
