Program Information

Degree Offered:

Master of Science

Format: Campus

Program Description:

In this master you learn to correctly assess the workings and impact of the technologies used. You analyse existing analogue and digital electronic systems. You design and implement those systems, as well as complex information and communication systems. Intelligent Electronics focus: Intelligent Electronics focuses on the combination of hardware and software to develop and implement so-called embedded systems (e.g. cell phones; MP3 players; digital cameras; etc.) You learn to take into consideration limitations in the areas of I/O possibilities, memory, speed and energy consumption. Internet Computing focus: Internet Computing goes along with the trend of a more broadly distributed approach to developing computer applications. The advantages to this are high reliability, scalability, high performance, easy maintenance, low cost price, etc. Examples of such applications are all web-based and internet applications like search robots and voice over IP, as well as e-commerce, enterprise resource management, and user applications in the area of info-/edu-/entertainment. In essence, engineers find intelligent solutions to technological problems. 5E-engineers however are more than experts in technology. They have distinct entrepreneurial skills and are capable of coaching both themselves and others. 5E-engineers are aware of their place in the world and the impact they have on nature and culture. Finally, they know how to integrate everything and gain a higher insight. No traditional programme can achieve this. The 5E engineering curriculum at Group T Campus incorporates collaboration in cross-professional tasks in an environment characterized by diversity and a plurality of world visions. The 5 Es: Engineering, Enterprising, Educating, Ensembling, and Environmenting. At Campus Group T, you can follow your master's in a one-year or a two-year formula. The two-year formula adds 60 ECTS and 2 semesters to the standard one-year formula. The extra ECTS are made up by an elaborate learning experience in and with a company, with an innovative engineering challenge as the central assignment. It is set in a team, has a distinct international dimension, and usually requires a multidisciplinary approach. Entrepreneurs and students alike are encouraged to innovate, to transfer knowledge and to grow. It is a unique cross-fertilization between company and university college. This is an initial master's programme. You can follow it on a half-time or full-time basis. An increased tuition fee of 6000 EUR is not applicable for students who come from countries belonging to the European Economic Area (EEA).
