The curriculum "Licentiate in Informatics" forms academic informatics who are able to meet the requirements of the modern information society using an expert knowledge, an important theoretical background and a thorough understanding of the complete professional domain. Because of its multidisciplinary character, the curriculum is organised jointly by the faculty of Sciences and the faculty of Applied Sciences. This multidisciplinary approach embraces a broad range of specialties: application software, program development, communication technology, numerical and formal informatics. These specialties are combined in a limited number of coherent options.
