Program Description:

The aim of this training is to increase the expertise of students with respect to gender and the ways in which 'masculinities' and 'femininities' impact on the social context. Students are introduced to the meanings and the construction of gender. The courses will show them in what way gender differences influence the production of knowledge, they will learn about the hierarchic functions of gender en the ways in which power relations reflect a gender dimension. The subjects are taught in courses of 30 contact hours each. Students are expected to do a lot of personal research. The four basic courses are compulsory: methodology and scientific criticism, theory, history and the inequalities between women.
