Our educational leadership programs are designed for aspiring and practicing educational leaders. We offer specialist professional development in educational leadership theory, research, policy and practice.
You will hone your knowledge of the latest theory and research that informs educational leadership practice, principles that you can apply to your own professional development.
Students are encouraged to share their own research and experience in order to better understand and develop their leadership roles.
A wide range of electives are on offer, allowing you to tailor the program to suit your individual educational leadership interests and aspirations.
You will have the opportunity to participate in fieldwork and action based research courses.
This program is a gateway to higher research study. If you are interested in pursuing a research career we encourage you to study research methodology and undertake a research project during your course.
Graduates are equipped to lead education in schools from all sectors (K-12), school systems, universities, early childhood institutions, TAFE and other educational and training organizations.
Our recent graduates have gained positions as principals, deputy principals, head teachers and education authorities in government departments.
The programs are endorsed by the NSW Institute of Teachers.
The entry requirements for the Master of Education program is a recognized Bachelor degree plus a pre-service teaching qualification.
