The Marketing program is strategically focused. It emphasises critical and analytical thinking and the integration of marketing with other elements of an organisation. Students develop an understanding of consumer behaviour and purchase decision-making, integrating theory and practice from many branches of the social sciences. There is a strong emphasis on accountability in marketing and demonstrating a return on marketing investment.
The program incorporates the development of teambuilding, presentation skills, initiative, and business planning skills. The teaching is dynamic and participatory. Students also have many opportunities to gain experience in the marketing field through our strategic alliances with major Australian companies and ther organisations.
Students interested in further study, and who attain a credit (65%) average in the Graduate Certificate in Marketing, may be eligible to upgrade to the Master of Commerce.
