1. Utica College

Utica College is an independent, private college founded in 1946 by Syracuse University. The institution offers both undergraduate and graduate degree programs in career-oriented areas like health care administration, nursing, cybersecurity, and more. Though based in Central New York, Utica also offers online programs.

In honor of National Nurses Week and National Skilled Nursing Care Week, Utica College is waiving application fees during the month of May for its online RN - BSN and HCA (Health Care Administration) programs. Ordinarily, Utica’s application fee for online learners is $40 for undergraduate programs and $50 for graduate programs. So, if you’re thinking of applying to one of these online programs, May might be a great time to do it.

2. Northeastern University

Northeastern is a private research university founded in 1898. Located in Boston, the university also has several regional campuses across the country and the potential option to study online, from anywhere.

The College of Professional Studies (CPS) at Northeastern University features no application fees, as well as multiple start times per year and no GRE or GMAT scores required. CPS offers master’s, doctoral, certificate, and non-degree programs with a focus on professional development. Keep in mind that application fees differ widely by program and school/college within Northeastern University. While applying to a CPS program is free, others may charge between $75 and $100 to apply.

Colorado Technical University has been serving career-focused students since 1965. The private university offer undergraduate and graduate programs, including master’s and doctoral programs, at Colorado locations in Aurora or Colorado Springs. CTU does not charge an application fee, and their admissions process is a bit different from many graduate schools. Dallas Baptist University (DBU) is a Christian liberal arts university offering programs that blend faith and learning. The Graduate School at Dallas Baptist University offers a variety of master’s programs across areas like ministry, education, business, and more. They also offer certificate programs, doctoral programs, and other potential learning paths. Graduate programs may be offered on campus in Dallas, Texas, or in an online format.

American Public University is a private institution of higher education offering career-focused online learning. The university is home to over 200 undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs. The Graduate School at UNC – Chapel Hill does charge an application fee. However, they also offer a potential application fee waiver for select, eligible students.
