MUSC also operates a state of the art hospital with technology that is changing the face of modern day medicine. For students, one of MUSC’s goals is to make students better writers, teachers, and learners. Writing well is vital if students want to publish research that makes a difference in the lives of the medical community and delivers quality care to each patient. MUSC is focused on student success and they have created collaborative learning groups that are offered outside of class. Students analyze information from classes and are mentored by more advanced students. This also prepares them for medical licensure/certification exams. MUSC also offers a writing center that offers three elective courses that focus on learning a patient’s history and developing more empathy for patients who need critical care. In every way, MUSC is focused on creating better medical professionals and better care for patients today, and for generations to come.
