Applying to Grad Schools with Marketing Certificates
The application requirements for each graduate certificate in marketing may be unique, as each university sets its own standards. For instance, some schools prefer candidates with relevant work experience, and/or may weed out applicants who did not achieve a certain percentile on their GRE or GMAT scores. Also, a minimum undergraduate GPA may be stipulated such as 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
In terms of prior education, commonly, the minimum education needed to apply into marketing graduate certificate programs is a bachelor degree. However, one doesn’t necessarily need to have majored in business. Non-business majors may just need to take prerequisite courses such as introductory marketing, which could mean a longer time to completion.
In the case of marketing post-masters marketing certificate programs, applicants generally need to furnish transcripts from their MBA education. A resume and brief statement of purpose may also be required with completed form and deposit. Candidates with graduate degrees in other, closely related areas (e.g., Economics, Public Administration, etc.) may also be considered for admission, although prerequisite coursework may be required.
