The Social Sciences focus on the study of human society and individual relationships in and to society. Branches of social science include economics, geography, history, political science, sociology, psychology and anthropology. Students can choose to concentrate in areas such as behavior management, counseling, criminology, global and area studies, and labor and industrial relations. Other concentrations include social work, urban and regional planning, family and child ecology, and political science. Students will enhance their skills in critical thinking, analysis, cooperative work, technology and problem-solving. Graduates can enter careers as anthropologists, social workers, social science program directors, social scientists and more.
