About the field of Physics: Physics is the study of the interactions between time, space, energy and matter. It involves biophysics, quantum mechanics, electrodynamics, statistical thermodynamics and nuclear physics. Students can choose from several specializations in fields including chemistry, medicine, health care, biology and engineering. They will study high energy theory, string theory, condensed matter physics and the kinetic theory of plasma. Students may research accelerator physics, experimental/observational and theoretical astrophysics, and atomic, molecular and optional physics.
