ANESTHESIOLOGY
Graduate School Programs - Master's, Ph.D.
The study of anesthesiology at a graduate level typically falls under the category of an advanced nursing degree known as a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist). Master's degrees in anesthesiology prepare students (usually already R.N.s) to take the necessary certificate examinations to become a CRNA. Anesthesiology is a complicated process and can involve a number of processes including local and regional anesthesia, conscious sedation, and a variety of other functions related to patient surgery.
