Program Description:

The Master of Science in Applied Mathematics program gives students a broad background in mathematics, placing an emphasis on areas with the highest demand in applications: numerical methods and scientific computation, mathematical modeling, discrete mathematics, mathematical materials science, optimization and operations research. The Master of Science in Applied Statistics program gives graduates the knowledge and experience to tackle problems of statistical design, analysis and control likely to be encountered in business, industry or academia. The Professional Master in Science Degree is a graduate degree in science or mathematics for students interested in a wider variety of career options than those provided by current graduate programs. These degree programs prepare students for work in fields such as finance, consulting, banking, insurance, engineering research, bioengineering, electronic and computer industry, aerospace engineering etc. These programs consist of both theoretical and practical training, including industrial projects, internships opportunities and "cross-training" in business and communications.
