Program Description:
The mechanical engineering department consists of approximately 30 active faculty members, and has close ties with programs in manufacturing engineering and materials science. The mechanical engineering graduate course offerings are divided into fivedistinct areas of study: Fluids and Aerospace Engineering Dynamics and Controls Structures and Materials Design and Manufacturing Biomechanical Engineering These areas of study reflect the research interests of the mechanical engineering faculty. In this way, graduate courses introduce students to fundamentals of mechanical engineering while simultaneously providing the background necessary to become involved with the ongoing research of the Mechanical Engineering faculty.
