Program Description:
The master's program in manufacturing engineering provides opportunities for students to study modern manufacturing techniques while gaining a solid science base in this multidisciplinary field. Course material and research activities draw heavily from traditional fields of computer science, controls engineering, electrical and computer engineering, environmental engineering, industrial engineering, materials science and engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering and management. The program is intended to build a solid and broad foundation in modern manufacturing practices, and allow further concentrated study in a selected specialty. A Ph.D. program is also available in manufacturing engineering. It is the goal of this program to train people for careers in research and teaching of manufacturing engineering and materials processing.
