Program Description:

The overall aim is to provide teachers with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to effectively handle the challenges of teaching in a multicultural/multilingual classroom. The program provides a comprehensive background in the theory and practice of second language teaching and targets individuals who wish to work with Limited English Proficient (LEP) students. Individuals with a general interest in Applied Linguistics and the sociocultural aspects of language may also benefit from course offerings.
