Program Description:

Wingate University will offer the Master of Physician Assistant Studies starting August 2008. Wingate offers the education you need to become a competent, compassionate and comprehensive health care provider. Gain the medical knowledge and clinical skills to practice as a PA anywhere and in any setting.

The program will cover seven continuous semesters (27 months) beginning with didactic classes during the first year, followed by clinical rotations during the second year.

Applications for admission to the inaugural class are being accepted now. Interviews will begin in April 2008 for the first class starting in August.

Note: The application for the provisional accreditation of the PA program has been submitted to the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant and to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools for permission to offer the Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree.
