Program Description:

Students who have managerial positions or will be assuming managerial responsibilities will find this program especially attractive. It provides an opportunity to combine advanced engineering study with an introduction to the principles and tools of management and decision making. An Environmental Engineering option is available in this specialization for students who are interested in developing a background in this area, or who have responsibility for environmental matters in a professional capacity.

Technical electives may be selected from any of the other engineering graduate programs and 6 credits in management from the School of Business.

The engineering management specialization may not be combined with either the thesis option or be incorporated into the dual MEng/MBA program.

Eligibility Requirements:

A graduate candidate should hold a bachelor of science degree in engineering.
Candidates who hold undergraduate degrees in related areas are also considered.
Admission into a graduate program as a full-time student is predicated on a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least
2.8 (based on a 4.0 system) from an EAC/ABET-accredited undergraduate program and a cumulative score of at least 1050
in the verbal and quantitative sections of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). The GRE requirement may be waived for
applicants with strong credentials.
Admission into a graduate program as a part-time student is
predicated on a cumulative GPA of at least 2.8 (based on a 4.0
system) from an EAC/ABET-accredited program and relevant
professional experience. Although the GRE is optional for parttime
students, it may be helpful in the evaluation of credentials.
