Program Description:
MPH Kansas is a joint degree program involving Wichita State University and the University of Kansas. It is designed to meet the needs of working health care professionals in the state who will complete the degree on a part-time basis. The Master of Public Health is a 36-credit-hour program with thesis and field experience options. Full-time students in the program can fulfill the degree requirements within 16 to 24 months. The MPH student must complete 15 core course hours as well as additional required and elective courses. Competencies in the five basic public health core areas include:1) Environmental Health Sciences,2) Epidemiology,3) Health Policy and Administration,4) Biostatistics, 5) Social and Behavioral Sciences.
