Program Description:

The Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center offers seven programs that lead to the Ph.D. in biomedical sciences. The center comprises the Schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy and other health sciences facilities. Established areas of primary research focus are cardiovascular and renal, neuroscience's, occupational and environmental health, and oncology. Health Sciences continues to acknowledge and value strong and well-funded research programs in various areas that may not relate closely to these listed focuses. Health Sciences provides a stimulating and supportive environment for research training.
