Program Description:

The online master of public health degree is designed for healthcare professionals with a strong interest in preventive medicine and community health.

Improve quality of life and health outcomes for all members of a community.

* At WVU Community Medicine, we bring health education to our community. Our students and faculty are deeply involved with educating the community about health, and the prevention of disease and injury.

* We teach health professionals and community groups, conduct research, and offer consultation and service. Our faculty and staff focus their efforts on improving the well-being of rural communities, especially our rural Appalachian home in West Virginia.

* Online students obtain a thorough understanding of public health and application in core areas of Social and Behavioral Science, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Health Policy and Management, and Environmental Health. The program is designed to prepare students to fill decision-making roles in managed care and other integrated delivery systems.
