Program Description:

The Industrial/Organizational Program is one of the earliest programs to offer the doctoral degree in I/O psychology and has consistently been ranked in the Top 20 programs in the country. The I/O psychology program has a strong research orientation and emphasizes the understanding and prediction of behavior in organizations. Graduate students receive training in both personnel psychology and organizational psychology. The program has strong links to the Business School and the College of Urban, Labor, and Metropolitan Affairs. In addition, the program has strong ties to local business and industry offering field internships in major corporations or assignments with applied research/consulting firms. Most students accepted into the Ph.D. program in psychology receive full financial aid.
