Program Description:

Wayne State University Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) offers an exciting array of clinical, educational, and research opportunities. WSU is a comprehensive research university. The CSD department has 12 full-time faculty, 100 undergraduate and 100 graduate students and offers Bachelor's, Master's, Au.D. and Ph.D. degrees. Our students come from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Many different ages and cultural groups are represented, providing a lively mix of ideas and perspectives. The department offers students a comprehensive clinical experience with a large on-campus clinic and extensive community partnerships that also provide excellent opportunities for research.

Accreditation:

The Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology program and the Doctor of Audiology program are both accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation of ASHA. M.A. is 2 years, 59 credits; Au.D is 4 years; 122 credits. Includes summer semester.

International Student Requirements:

Non-native speakers of English are required to submit results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), Test of Written English (TWE), and the SPEAK or TSE test. All exams must be taken prior to January 1. Official scores must be sent directly to Wayne State University.
