Ecology is a wide-ranging multidisciplinary field, requiring knowledge of disciplines like mathematics, statistics, physiology, chemistry and biochemistry, as well as geology and (molecular) genetics. Understanding how nature works can be an aim in itself but knowledge of ecology is also vital when it comes to taking appropriate measures to maintain biodiversity and combat the effects of pollution and the greenhouse effect.With a Master's degree in Ecology under your belt you will be well equipped to conduct research at universities and other research institutes. You can also aim for a career in central government, at a water board, conservation organization or NGO. The demand for graduates with a Master?s in Ecology is considerable.
